Kanken Toyama moved to Tokyo in 1931 and one of his disciples soon became Hiroshi Kinjo. It was during this tie that Kinjo became good friends with Richard Kim some even say he was a teacher of Richard Kim. But Kim also met and trained with Kanken Toyama and it was Kim who kept these katas alive and taught them to Greg Mellor of Canada who is the presenter of these forms today which include 21 ancient Okinawan Kobudo forms including Sai, Tonfa, Jo, Bo and Kama, that have been handed down from Itosu Anko and Yabu Kentsu so these forms may be slightly different from the forms of today but these are the original versions of these weapons forms. 36 minutes.
