Professor Ned Donnelly was a former prize fighter turned boxing instructor and author (with help from his literate friends). During the late 1800's, he had become a household name as a one of the most successful, famous, and respected instructors in the history of British boxing. This book was one of his best with solid time tested methods used in both bare knuckle boxing and in the early gloved boxing days. He provides useful hints in sparring, how to hit and duck, feinting, side stepping, counters, combinations and more. This is a must read for those who wish to learn about street boxing. Prof. Donnelly was the "Instructor to the Celebrities of his Time". Among his most notable students was playwright George Bernard Shaw. 6 x 9. 62 pages.
